#CrayonsToConfidence

Thanks for following me on this crazy journey!

We've blogged our way through my college experience together. You witnessed my first day teaching kindergarten, my big move to Nashville, and me reconnecting with my high school boyfriend. (P.S. We're married now. awwww....)

But most importantly, you witnessed me progressing through my Master's Degree in Child & Family Development.

The more I learned along the way, the more I shared with you, and you (for whatever reason) stuck around to hear the crazy shenanigans I got up to.

I hadn't posted for awhile when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, but when it did, I became too busy to ever give this blog the time of day. I was teaching kindergarten (virtually, which was a nightmare), assisting parents, and playing tech support, all while trying to plan a wedding that got postponed, buying a house, and reversing a million travel plans for summer vacations and our future honeymoon.

All that to say... Thanks for sticking with me.

The pandemic paved an interesting path for me, though. Because, to save my sanity, I began selling little printable, downloadable resources to help their kids maintain their social and emotional skills during that time. I didn't want the pandemic to slow down any child's friendship, confidence, or self esteem, so we launched #CrayonsToConfidence here, through this very blog.

Soon, these downloadable resources turned into webinars, and webinars turned into courses, and courses turned into memberships... And as of June 2022, I'm a completely different woman than the college girl who started this blog.

I'm married with a fabulous husband and a sweet puppy. I live in Nashville, TN. And I paired by my years of teaching experience, daycare experience, and babysitting experience with my two degrees to start my own business. Simply put, it's a career that culminated out of nowhere out of pure passion. In all honesty, it succeeded against all odds.

Since healthy childhoods and cultivating confidence have always been my primary goals in my education and career, I felt it was only fitting to pay homage to everything we created together.

Crayons to Confidence launched in 2020, and it has been a wild ride. Now, I help parents and caregivers across the country raise mentally & emotionally healthy children, and I'm having a blast doing it.

It's a little bittersweet to announce, but this will be my last post on Taxis, Tots, & Polka Dots.

But I can't thank you enough for sticking around. You were truly the originals; my first questions, my first commenters, my first fans. Thank you for paving a way for me to do what I love, while still typing from behind my laptop.

And, if/when you have kids of your own, give me a shout. Let's combine everything we learned to help them straighten their crown, and live life with confidence.

Let's do the same for you.
